Top-Rated Mental Health Services in Iowa, Texas, and Oregon
There are several different types of mental health therapy approaches that are considered credible and evidence-based and have been shown to be effective for various kinds of pressing concerns. Of these, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Interpersonal, Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Client-Centered and Psychoanalytic are used in my practice. My approach is to tailor therapy to your unique needs as we work together to find solutions. My therapy style is warm, supportive and direct.
I have worked with individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds, ethnicities, and ages. I enjoy helping clients in areas including anxiety, boundary setting, communication, co-parenting after separation or divorce, depression, family conflict, grief, life transitions and parent-child relationships.
I am originally from Iowa City, I received my Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Iowa and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Georgia. After traveling around and living abroad, I returned to here to raise my children. When not at work I tend to keep busy caring for my 2 dogs, exercising, and finding artistic projects to start.
